Well, I'm certainly not afraid to communicate. I am,
however, choosy about who I spend time on. One of my first
requirements is that a man be literate and use good grammar
and spelling. Sadly, that does tend to knock out about half
the men on this site...
Also, a great many of us ladies of 'maturer years'
were raised in the firm belief that it's a man's
right and role to do the work of contacting and emailing
at first. I would certainly never phone a man until I was
in an established relationship with him - friend or lover
- and I knew that he wouldn't consider me 'forward'
by phoning.
Basic rule of human psychology. The man hunts, the woman
is hunted. That's how it works. If a woman takes the
initiative and does the contacting, she's considered
desperate, pushy, sad, or just a damn nuisance.
