Dead before we know it
Before life, there is death:
Where you wait for your final breath;
On an earth where everyone dies,
living a life with no alibis.
Before death, there is hell:
Where corpses reek and dwell.
Chosen for their deathbed
Are the eternity of the dead.
Before hell, there is terror:
When you cannot make an error,
for fear your soul will drown
In blood that will never be found.
Before terror, there is thought:
When thinking is ludicrous, and you get caught.
Are we in heaven or hell? Or just living a lie
in a world that everyone knows they will die?
