in love with my best friend
I've had this lady friend for about 10 months now. After
a while, I fell in love with her. Unfortunately, her feelings
are not the same. She follows her heart a lot of the time and
I follow mine quite a bit as well. This could be a rough thing
except that I started using logic to help dictate my thoughts
and came up with some logical reasons why we couldn't
be together. She gave me a lot of leeway and time to let me
sort things out so that my feelings didn't affect our
friendship but now that I've finally gotten things
straight in my head, she's having a hard time believing
me. I've been abandoned by friends in the past and am
desparate to figure things out as far as how to keep this
friendship intact. She's made a huge difference in
my life and she's very special to me even though I'm
no longer interested in pursuing her. She's going
through some stressful times in her life as well and I don't
want to burden her with what i'm trying to deal with
but I need to reassure her that things are going to be ok between
us.
