RE: We're Not Sluts!
Growing up I was raised to believe that no sex until marriage,
if you put out you were a slut and that was a bad thing. As I've
gotten older, had a bad marriage, seen marriages fall apart
because of cheating, or other sexual problems I've
decided to change the ideal of what "slut" means.
I don't consider it to be a dirty word. I'm a happilly
married, sexually liberated woman who is totally comfortable
with her sexuality. No one in my circle of friends thinks
the word slut is a bad thing. And for those who would call
me a slut, my response is "And you say that like it's
a bad thing?!"
It is my hope that women everywhere learn to love themselves
and have enough confidence to not be concerned with what
closed, small minded people might think of them.
