Happiness
I walked upon the shores of sand
Up before me, a man, there stands
All grey of hair, body, a bit graveled
I felt his wisdom, continued I traveled
Looking out beyond the sea
He turned his head, then down to me
Child tell me your heart, for I feel your sorrow
Sir, I seek Happiness, for I know not Tomorrow
He lifted his hand, almost in slow motion
Pointing it out-across the ocean
There lies Happiness, just over there
Cant you hear the laughter in the air?
Sir, its so far, how can I go?
Soon My Child, there are lessons to know
Sir, there is a craft, lets sail there. Quickly!
My child! Rushing Happiness-Happiness gets sickly
There is no short cut in finding Happiness
Its journey is long, seemingly endless
Sir, teach your lessonsHappiness I desire
I feel its warmth, where is its fire
You are on the right path- My Child, I assure
For True Happiness, take not false lures
Be pure of heart, have courage, be bold
Happiness, My Child, is warm not cold
Do for others, as you would have them do for you
And those that follow, a friend you have true
Sir? Is there more, before I go forth?
Yes! My Child! With compass in hand-find true North
Steer not to the left, steer not to the right
In the Darkest Hour, My Child, you will have Light
Sir, come with me! I may go astray
Go now My Child! Trust in what I say
There are many behind you, so mark your path
Remember My Child, false Happiness bares Wrath
Sir, when will you, find your Happiness?
In your eyes, I see your Sadness
Take Heart My Child, Happy I will be
For when you reach yours, Happiness will reach me
